Biosis
// ARTIST NODE #02 Sound-Artist

Biosis

René Roco is a composer and music producer based in San Pedro de Atacama, Chile. His project Biosis generates music from the encounter between the organic world and machines, reflecting his belief that creation always connects us to nature—it's an act of translation, with the illusion that the decisions are ours. Biosis is a sound installation combining plants, synthesizers, and ambient recordings in an improvised, contemplative soundscape. Using a Live Roots Mini device, he translates the plants' electrical impulses into MIDI, shaping them through synthesizers, field recordings from his travels, and acoustic instruments.

Camaleonte Oleandro
// ARTIST NODE #03 Pioneer

Camaleonte Oleandro

Camaleonte is a first generation unsung legend in the plant music scene. As a biologist and computer scientist, he has devoted over two decades to botanical research. Co-creating early bio-sonification hardware, he hand-built hundreds of original devices—literally seeding the early movement. He spent ten years experimenting in a treehouse village and sonifying ancient trees in the Sacred Woods of the Damanhur spiritual community.

Masterplants Orchestra
// ARTIST NODE #04 Founder

Masterplants Orchestra

Hi! Tritone here! Pioneering the symphonic plant music ensemble Masterplants Orchestra and founder of Plantland Radio! :) Giving my life and time to bio-sonification art, patching living signals into machines, endless nature-laden philosophy and how to return our current state of humanity back into a naturally coherent experience. In love with the divine creative fire. Happy to have you here.

Plant Music by Human Echo
// ARTIST NODE #05 Natural Ambient

Plant Music by Human Echo

Plant Music by Human Echo is a German project by Andreas Krause and Wolfgang Kuhn exploring human-nature connection. Translating plant bioelectrical signals into musical interaction, they weave deep soundscapes blending Natural Ambient, electronics, and field recordings. By listening to subtle electrical activity rather than imposing composition, Human Echo lets living signals shape the musical process. Each ecosystem becomes a unique sonic journey—inviting listeners to slow down, listen deeply, and enter a world where natural signals meet human creativity.

Flora: Ginseng, Philodendron, Ancient Linden, biotope ecosystems
Hardware: Instruo Scion Pocket, Modal Argon8M, Field Recording Gear
PLANTLOVERS
// ARTIST NODE #06 Organic Ambient

PLANTLOVERS

PLANTLOVERS uses bio-sonic technology to capture the electrical impulses of plants and translate them into sound frequencies. These signals are processed through custom-built synthesizers and software, producing generative music that reflects the plant’s real-time responses to its environment. Modular synthesizers and PLANT MUSIC devices Founder Levan Shanshiashvili is a multidisciplinary artist and musician based in Tbilisi, Georgia. His practice spans sound design, installation art, and live performances.

Flora: Fern, Oak, Banyan & Grass

Rodrigo Tamay
// ARTIST NODE #07 Luthier & Producer

Rodrigo Tamay

Rodrigo Tamay is an Argentine sound artist, producer, and biosonification pioneer translating plant, fungal, and soil activity into experimental music. He co-founded Proyecto Liquenizar, won First Prize in Technological Arts (2023), and contributed to the book El sonido de las plantas.

Since 2017, he has directed the Casa Funes Sound Laboratory, where he developed BIODATA—the first biosonification device manufactured in Argentina.

Solarpunk Daydreams
// ARTIST NODE #08 Living Ambient

Solarpunk Daydreams

A newcomer to the world of bio-sonification and plant music, Solarpunk Daydreams is an experimental sound artist based out of the Mid-Western United States. Inspired by the rich history and diversity of the plant music genre, as well as the work of local sound healing practitioners, the artist aims to create meditative ambient soundscapes to foster stillness and facilitate reconnection to the local environment.

Flora: Native plants and fungi, Solanum americanum, Ipomoea tricolor
Hardware: Eurorack, Ableton, Soma Laboratories Enigma
Tom Iddan
// ARTIST NODE #09 Organic Ambient

Tom Iddan

Tom Iddan bridges traditional percussion and plant bio-signals. Trained in Indian tabla under Pandit Sharda Sahai and grounded in Levantine soundscapes, Tom gathers field recordings, Geofon contact mic textures, and bio-data out in nature using his pocket Scion. In the studio, he translates the bioelectric signals of plants, trees, and fungi into generative compositions with modular synthesis, samplers, live synths, acoustic instruments, and Tibetan bowls. His unscripted live sessions build an organic palette around biofeedback, field textures, and acoustic improvisation to help listeners connect with nature and the present moment.

Flora: Fungi and San Pedro

Wild Anima
// ARTIST NODE #10 Healer

Wild Anima

My approach to sound is an introspective inquiry into morphic fields, channeling songs of the collective psyche through voice and field recordings. By capturing microtones and natural rhythms, I craft sound-collages I call audio photographs. Collaborating with plants amplifies this process, turning the voice of the wild into a sound oracle. In 2020, I created Sacred Sea to showcase nature-inspired artists through spiritual ecology. As a sound healer, I facilitate sound baths and sensory experiences exploring plant intelligence across Marseille and Berlin.

Flora: Epipremnum Aureum, Yucca spp, Pelargonium Inquinans, Hypericum Perforatum
Hardware: Bamboo M, PlantWave.
Zigola
// ARTIST NODE #11 Organic Jazz Ambient

Zigola

Zigola is a Dutch vocalist, composer and sound artist based in Italy who has been exploring musical communication with plants for many years. She translates variations in plants’ electrical activity into musical information and creates dialogues between plant-generated melodies, voice, improvisation, acoustic instruments and electronic sound. Her work moves between jazz, ambient and experimental music, approaching music as a language through which humans and the natural world can meet and co-create.
